Based on our HACCP program there are several quality control points identified and monitored in order to ensure high quality and safety of the production.

Quality control plays an important part once the raisins are at the plant. Before the raisins are taken from their bins, we have the proper laboratory station where we can test for yeast, mold and level of moisture, This will enable us to meet our customers’ requirements.

The standards must be met to ensure the raisin is free of molds, pests and other imperfections.

In this process the raisin is washed (our machines are designed to wash the raisins twice as they come from farms, covered with sand and dirt), further de-stoned by cascade, dried (to bring the moisture content down to standard specification), twice laser scanned (removal of remaining stems and cap stems), sprayed by sunflower or vegetable oil, X-ray scanned (further scanned for any remained stones), online metal detected, hand-picked and box metal detected.

In addition to above information, the raisin is passed through sophisticated laser sorters that use light beams and a computer to determine if anything other than raisin is passing through the stream. If the computer determines something other than raisin, it instantly sends a small burst of air down to knock the material out of the stream. This happens with and incredible high speed.
